Recently, Utah Cancer Specialists employees had the opportunity to participate in the American Fork Cancer Run. We ran and walked to support our patients and their families in the community.
It was an inspiring event attended by many of our doctors and employees. We were fortunate to be a part of such an event, to see our patients with their families, participating and volunteering.
Everyone had his or her own personal reasons for participating. People walked or ran because they are a survivor themselves, to support a survivor they know, or in memory of a lost loved one. Many runners had a picture and story of a person who had passed pinned to their race bib, keeping them alive in our memories.
