About Mark Williams

With a background in healthcare finance, accounting, and operations, Mark brings experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash-flow management, process improvement, contracts, and organizational growth. At Utah Cancer Specialists, he focuses on turning complex financial information into practical insights that support thoughtful decision-making and the long-term strength of the organization. He is also passionate about developing people, improving systems, and helping teams understand how their work contributes to UCS’s mission.

He holds a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and continues to pursue professional development in healthcare finance, accounting, and leadership.

He was drawn to healthcare because of the meaningful impact it has on patients and families. While his role primarily takes place behind the scenes, he believes strong financial stewardship plays an important part in exceptional patient care by ensuring physicians and staff have the resources, people, and systems they need to do their best work. He was especially drawn to Utah Cancer Specialists because of its patient-centered approach, strong community roots, and commitment to growing while remaining focused on the people it serves.

Looking ahead, he is excited about UCS’s continued growth and the opportunity to bring high-quality cancer care to more patients and communities. He believes that strengthening systems, using information effectively, and planning thoughtfully for the future will help UCS continue serving patients and families for generations.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, writing, teaching, exploring new technology, and working on hands-on projects. Writing is one of his favorite creative outlets, particularly developing books and resources that make complicated topics more practical and approachable.

For him, exceptional patient care means seeing each patient as a person—not simply a diagnosis. It means providing compassionate, timely, and clinically excellent care while reducing unnecessary financial and administrative burdens. His goal is to provide strong stewardship behind the scenes that allows UCS physicians and staff to remain focused on what matters most: caring for patients.
