About Stephanie Waddoups
Stephanie has dedicated her career to caring for patients and supporting the teams who care for them. She has been with Utah Cancer Specialists for 13 years, serving as a nurse at Intermountain Medical Center and the Cancer Center, as well as Nurse Manager at Granger before moving into her current leadership role. Prior to joining UCS, Stephanie spent 16 years caring for newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University and is a Registered Nurse and Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN).
She always knew she wanted to be a nurse and was drawn to the opportunity to care for others. Transitioning from newborn intensive care to oncology initially felt like a significant change, but she quickly found how meaningful it was to care for adults facing cancer. She has come to deeply value the relationships built with patients and families throughout their care.
Stephanie is especially excited about UCS’s continued commitment to putting patients first and expanding the ways the organization supports them. In addition to excellent cancer treatment, she values the growth of supportive services such as rehabilitation, supportive care, and mental health resources that address the needs of the whole patient.
For Stephanie, exceptional patient care is compassionate, individualized, and respectful. It means taking the time to truly listen, offering reassurance, and going above and beyond to make sure each patient feels cared for and supported.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, especially skiing, fishing, and hiking. Of all her outdoor activities, skiing is her favorite.
