About Loveday
Brighton Loveday brings more than 30 years of experience in oncology, palliative care, hospice, advanced practice nursing, and healthcare leadership. Her career has included serving as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Nurse Corps, leading hospice and home health organizations, and helping develop supportive oncology and palliative care programs at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Most recently, she served as Director of Advanced Practice at Huntsman Cancer Institute while continuing to care for patients as a nurse practitioner.
Her approach to care is centered on compassion, listening, education, and quality of life. She takes time to help patients and families understand complex medical information, manage symptoms, and make informed decisions that reflect their individual needs and goals. Her extensive background in oncology and palliative care allows her to care for the whole person, not just the diagnosis.
A Salt Lake City native, Brighton grew up in Sugar House and also spent many years living in Hawaii, which she still considers a second home. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, overlanding, sailing, traveling, exploring national parks, reading, writing poetry, and landscape photography. Most of all, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog.
